Reserva wine
The most comprehensive ageing
In most wines, three types of aromas can typically be distinguished: primary and varietal aromas, which originate from the grape itself; secondary aromas, which include notes of yeast, bread, biscuits, and even milk that arise from the winemaking process; and finally, tertiary aromas, primarily developed during maturation in wood. The intensity of each will depend on various factors, such as the production method or the duration the wine spends in contact with wood. The perfect balance among all these elements is found in Vino Reserva.
The 36 months for reds (with a minimum of 12 months in bottle) and the 24 months for whites and rosés (with a minimum of 6 months in bottle) provide the ideal time to achieve a harmonious blend of aromas, colour, and flavour in these wines, regarded by many experts as the most complete and well-integrated.
To craft a Vino Reserva, vintners can only use the highest quality grapes, capable of withstanding the changes and evolution anticipated in the bottle. What begins as juicy fruit at the start of ageing transforms into a vibrant and sophisticated intensity, with fresh hints that already hint at the seriousness of the spices imparted by the barrels. These wines, which are marketed from the fourth year onwards, are always a reliable choice that pleases everyone.
