About Tras da Canda Tinto
Tras da Canda Tinto is a red wine from the Rías Baixas region, made from Caíño, Loureiro, and Espadeiro grapes by Bodegas y Viñedos Rodrigo Méndez.
Bodegas y Viñedos Rodrigo Méndez is a relatively new winery located in the Rías Baixas area, headed by the winemaker Rodrigo Méndez. It primarily works with indigenous grape varieties and relies on traditional methods for production. Additionally, it has collaborated on several projects with the renowned winemaker Raúl Pérez.
Tras da Canda Tinto comes from a young vineyard with granitic, sandy soils containing quartz. The climate in this region is Atlantic.
Tras da Canda Tinto undergoes 12 months of ageing in 300-litre barrels.
Tras da Canda Tinto is a fresh, mineral wine with aromas of black fruits, made from the indigenous varieties of the area.
2022 | Tras da Canda Tinto 2022 is a light red wine that has spent some time in barrel. When served, you will notice a bright red colour. On the nose, it offers fresh aromas of red fruits such as strawberries and cherries, with a subtle hint of vanilla.
