About Lindes de Remelluri Viñedos de Peciña
In an increasingly globalized and disconnected world from local roots, returning to small towns allows us to reconnect with our communities, understand the wealth of our culture, and appreciate the diversity of our landscapes and traditions. By doing so, we can truly grasp the meaning and importance of our land, not merely as a physical resource, but as a cultural and emotional heritage that we must protect and preserve for future generations. Under this philosophy, the prestigious family-owned winery Remelluri introduces Lindes de Remelluri, a magnificent collection of village wines that champion the work of traditional vintners and reclaim the taste for the indigenous.
Among the wines they offer, Lindes de Remelluri Viñedos de Peciña originates from vineyards located in Peciña, a small hamlet within the municipality of San Vicente de la Sonsierra, in the Rioja Alta region (Rioja) at an altitude of 700 meters above sea level and with a registered population of only 5 inhabitants. It is here where David Ramírez García and his son Ángel Ramírez Aguirre cultivate 1.9 hectares of vineyard with an average age of between 40 and 90 years old in the traditional manner, eschewing chemicals that harm the environment and applying biodynamic treatments that honor the essence of the terroir. Strains of tempranillo and garnacha are planted on cool, calcareous soils with good stoniness. The harvest is done by hand at the optimal time of ripeness and is immediately transported to the Granja Nuestra Señora de Remeluri to begin the vinification process. First, the grapes ferment in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts, and then the wine ages in oak barrels of various sizes over the course of 12 months.
Starting from the importance of returning to small towns and terms lies in the recognition and appreciation of the true value of our land, Lindes de Remelluri Viñedos de Peciña is presented to us as an authentic village wine that celebrates the beauty and uniqueness of 18th-century viticulture.

Lindes de Remelluri is the result of the artisanal work of viticulturists from small towns and hamlets surrounding the Granja Nuestra Señora de Remelluri, who defend the best viticulture from the 18th century. A social project that values the work of lifelong viticulturists and recovers old, mountainous vineyards perched on the Sierra. A collection of 6 wines, one for each town, whose differences in soils and orientations offer us unique village wines.
