About Granbazán Etiqueta Verde

The Albariño has been cultivated for more than a thousand years in the Rías Baixas region and, thanks to its characteristics, it is well adapted to the climate and soil conditions of this fascinating region of Galicia (Spain). So much so that at the end of the 20th century it became fashionable among wine connoisseurs and began to be highly valued. However, in the absence of legislation, consumption and distribution was an obscure adventure. Unlabeled bottles, few resources and little knowledge sometimes did not guarantee the quality that this variety deserved.  A noble family from Cambados, the Otero family, set to work to offer transparency and quality. To do this, they had a neoclassical style winery built that complies with all the hygiene and quality parameters in the purest French Château style. So, under the Granbazán brand, they create a complete range of wines with different personalities from the same grape, Albariño, which can now be found in more than 25 countries around the world.

Among its single-variety wines, Granbazán Etiqueta Verde is an Albariño made from vines over 35 years old from soils with a high granite content, on the banks of the Arousa estuary, which give them a marked Atlantic character. Once the grapes have reached optimum ripeness, they are selected, destemmed and pressed in the winery. The resulting must is then cold macerated for 6 to 8 hours. Fermentation is carried out at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks and then rests for 4 to 5 months on its fine lees without batonnage.

So if you want to enjoy a classic Albariño with all the typicity of the Salnés sub-region, Granbazán Etiqueta Verde is waiting for you. Freshness, fruitiness and salinity in its purest form.
