About Cune Gran Reserva

Cune Gran Reserva is a red wine produced by CVNE in the DOCa La Rioja using tempranillo, graciano, and mazuelo grape varieties.

The origins of the Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España date back to 1879, when two brothers established CVNE, a winery located at the Haro station (La Rioja). 140 years later, although the winery has grown into a large group, it remains family-owned.

Cune Gran Reserva is crafted from handpicked grapes from vineyards planted in Rioja Alta. It is distinguished by clay-limestone soils and a continental climate with Mediterranean influences. The harvest is conducted manually.

In the winery, the grapes of Cune Gran Reserva are destemmed and crushed. Cold maceration is followed by alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperatures. The wine is aged for 24 months in American and French oak barrels, then refined in the bottle for 36 months.

The oldest wine from the winery, Cune Gran Reserva, is an excellent exemplar of the fine wines of Rioja.
