Von Winning Sauvignon Blanc II is a monovarietal Sauvignon Blanc white wine produced by Von Winning. The wine is rated as VDP Pfalz.

Von Winning is a winery that was founded in 1849, and has been devoted to producing quality wines since its inception. They practice a philosophy of respecting nature and the environment, and make their wines according to the traditions so that almost all their wines are fermented with native yeasts in foudres. Moreover, the winery has been one of the precursors of the VDP, an association that seeks to rate and preserve the quality of German wines.

Von Winning Sauvignon Blanc II is a wine made from grapes selected from different places around Deidesheim, one of the best areas in the Palatinate. The vineyards are on gentle slopes at the foot of the Wasgau mountain range, and are planted in sedimentary soils facing east.

Von Winning Sauvignon Blanc II is fermented in stainless steel tanks with temperature control. It ferments at low temperatures in order to better preserve and extract the fresh and fruity aromas of the grape. A few grams of residual sugars are left, to compensate for the acidity and give the wine a little more body.

Von Winning Sauvignon Blanc II is a juicy wine, with hints of redcurrant, lime and fine herbs. On the palate it has a tasty acidity and an interesting balance, and tasting it awakens the desire for more.
2017 Von Winning Sauvignon Blanc II 2018 is a fresh wine with delicate aromas reminiscent of citrus, apple and pear. There are also touches of freshly-cut grass or hay. On the palate it is fresh and vertical with a rather sweet attack, and with a friendly aftertaste.
