About Volver Single Vineyard Tempranillo

Volver is a red wine from D.O. Castilla la Mancha produced by Bodegas Volver. This is a monovarietal of Tempranillo.

The grapes used for Volver grow in vineyards planted in the Finca Los Juncares. Planted in 1957, with 29 hectares of land. The soils are sandy and limy.

The grape harvest is done by hand and a selection of the best grapes are chosen later at the winery on the table.

The winemaking process is a traditional method. Volver is fermented malolactically in barrels before being aged.

Volver is aged for 14 months in French oak barrels before being bottled.

Bodegas Volver was founded in 2004 and belongs to Grupo Ordoñez. This is one of the most important Spanish winemaking businesses.

Bodegas Volver produce wines in D.O. Alicante, D.O. Castilla la Mancha and in D.O. Jumilla.

2020

Volver Single Vineyard Tempranillo 2020 is unveiled with an unassuming charm and understated elegance. On the nose, it unfurls a spectrum of scents where redcurrants, blackberries, and hints of dark fruits predominate, interwoven with nuances of tobacco and licorice. On the palate, it displays its full body and distinctive character with flavors of ripe fruit that envelop the senses. Its complexity and velvety texture lead to an extended, focused finish, beckoning for another taste.
2019

Volver 2019 is a sumptuously rich red wine. The bouquet reveals notes of tobacco, licorice, and blackcurrant. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with flavors of roasted nuances and ripe fruit. It concludes with a lengthy and harmonious finish.
2013 Smooth and structured. Good acidity and juicy. Long finish and a fruity and balsamic retronasal.

Intense cherry red with ruby undertones. Clear and bright.

Notes of violets and ripened black fruit. Intense spicy aromas with pleasant balsamic touches.
2012 Soft and elegant with a silky, sweet and mature way. Good acidity and well-structured, with a long finish. Balsamic and fruity aftertaste.

Ripe black fruits and memories of blue flowers (violets), it is oxygenated, intense, spicy, balsamic, refreshing and earthy.
2011 This wine has smooth and elegant attack. It is silky, appetising and ripe on the palate with lots of fruit, nice tannins, good acidity, good structure and a long finish of perfect persistence. Balsamic and fruity notes felt at retro-olfaction.

Intense picota cherry colour with ruby rims. Clean and bright. Abundant tears shown on the glass.

This new vintage is more fragrant and floral than in previous vintages. Aromas of ripe black fruit and blue flowers (violets) prevail. Once airated, intense spices, refreshing balsamic notes and earthy nuances complete the set.
2010 Smooth and elegant attack. Silky, tasty and ripe on the palate with a high concentration of fruit. Nice tannins, good acidity, structured, with a long finish of correct persistence. Balsamic and fruity sensations felt at retro-olfaction.

Opaque and intense purple colour with a ruby rim. Clean and bright. Abundant tears on the glass.

Subtle aromas of toast, with earthy aromas, spices, balsamic touches and some dominating black fruit. An intense and very enjoyable nose.
2008 An intense wine from La Mancha with a smooth, very tasty and sweet mid palate. Velvety palate, in which the aromas felt in the nose are brought forward. Tannins are present but pleasant. Good quite correct acidity and a good ending. A mellow wine, with lots of fleshy notes of fruit and good smoked aromas, which invites to have another helping.

Bright and clean dark cherry red colour with violet reflections. Thin tears that stain the glass.

Intense aromas among which the fruit has the main role. Lots of red and black fruits are released along with many creamy aromas nuanced by sweet spices and smoky and minerals aromas. Light balsamic background.
2005 The taste is fleshy, broad, with very good concentration of fruit and very long finish, with elegant smoky sensations.
