Tasting notes Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label

Champagne Brut. 36 months in bottle.

Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label is a dry champagne (with less than 10 g/l of sugar) that excels in maturity and character. On the nose, it reveals aromas of freshly baked bread, peach, lemon, and a hint of chalk. Upon tasting, there is a balance between the flavours of fresh croissants, red fruits, green apple, and vibrant citrus like lemon. Its body ranges from medium to full, offering a touch of sweetness and a pleasant creaminess. The finish is clean, well-defined, and refreshing, leaving a lasting impression. Truly a luxury!

About Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label

A blend of between 50 and 60 vintages, and up to 45% reserve wine, are the two elements that make Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label so exceptional.

Regarded as the maison's most iconic champagne, Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label is a sparkling wine that, after several centuries, continues to be crafted under the winery's motto "Only one quality, the finest." Thus, from the outskirts of Reims, — in the ancient chalk quarries (known as crayères) — the centuries-old company Veuve Clicquot continues to astound with its creations.

The grapes for Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label are grown directly in the finest Grands Crus of the AOC Champagne. In the past, these plots were personally selected by Madame Clicquot herself, the owner and driving force behind this maison (who, at just 27, took over the business upon becoming a widow). Today, this detail remains a constant, where only the best vineyards can be part of this great champagne house. To ensure this quality remains consistent, during the production process, between 25% and 40% of reserve wine is added to Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label. The masterful touch will arrive with three years of ageing on lees.

Eminent figures like Pushkin, Chekhov, and Gogol celebrated and admired Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label. And you? Are you part of this club?
