The Glenrothes was born in 1879, amidst adversity, when its founder, James Stuart, resolved to keep his dream of establishing a distillery in Rothes, his hometown, alive, despite an era fraught with crises and tragedies. Over a century later, that tenacity remains an integral part of the house's character.
 
In the heart of Speyside (Scotland), The Glenrothes built its reputation on light, fruity, and creamy whiskies, crafted with patience and an almost obsessive attention to detail. Tall stills, spring water, and lengthy fermentations are part of an understanding of whisky where time is not merely a waiting game but an essential ingredient.
