Terras Gauda 2023 greets us with a vibrant freshness and a spectrum of scents reminiscent of strolls through sun-dappled orchards. Olfactorily, it is distinguished by the sweetness of ripe peach and the lusciousness of pineapple, interwoven with citrusy hints of effervescent lime. Orange blossom contributes a delicate floral nuance, while a gentle whisper of mint imparts a crisp finale. About Terras Gauda

Terras Gauda is a white wine from the Rías Baixas developed by Bodegas Terras Gauda, one of the three warehouses belonging to Terras Gauda Group. This winery was founded in 1989 in the Valley of O Rosal.

The climate in this area is Atlantic characterized by mild temperatures throughout the year, the temperature variation between day and night is low. Rainfall in winters are intense and, instead, much lower in summer.  

This wine is a blend of indigenous varieties like Albariño, Loureiro and Caíño planted in the valley of O Rosal, near the mouth of the River Miño. The vineyards are planted on soils of granitic origin with shallow sandy loam character and perfect drainage conditions.  

Both Albariño and Caíño are planted 50 metres above sea level. The vineyards are located in an area with high humidity and heat, and that means grapes with higher concentration and lower acidity.

Loureiro's vineyards are located 150 metres above sea level, which means there is a slower maturation process that contributes to the grapes having more aromatic intensity and smoothness on the palate.  

The harvest is done manually in boxes of 20 kg. To prevent premature rupture of the grains before reaching the cellar.  

As for the design, each variety is vinified separately. First, the grapes are macerated cold with their skins to extract their delicate aromas. Subsequently, a low temperature fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks with natural yeasts from the vineyards themselves. Finally, the "blend" of different varieties is performed and stabilised until it is filtered and bottled

2022 Terras Gauda 2022 is an aromatic and complex white wine that on the nose offers aromas reminiscent of fruits like ripe peach and mandarins, accompanied by mineral, floral, and citrus peel notes, such as orange. On the palate, it enters with a pleasant volume and opulence. A fresh, intense white wine that, although complex, is very tasty and easy to drink.

2019 Terras Gauda 2019 is an aromatic white wine redolent with citrus scents and stone fruit aromas, complemented by floral nuances and hints of mineral and earthy undertones. On the palate, it is fleshy, silky, and exceedingly fresh. A well-structured wine with balanced acidity and a prolonged, immensely satisfying finish.
2018 Terras Gauda 2018 is a white wine with a nose of citrus aromas reminiscent of tangerines and orange peel, accompanied by hints of peach, anise, orange blossom, bay leaves and a subtle earthy note. On the palate it is structured and full of character. It is a meaty wine with a velvety and fresh flow thanks to its balanced acidity. Long and flavoursome finish.
2015 Delectable and hailing from lofty elevations. Redolent with fruit, velvety and offers a delightful richness.

Complex and robust white fruit aromas. Balsamic and floral nuances are complemented by an underlying mineral essence.

The palate is fleshy, smooth and unctuous. Marked and integrated acidity. Fruity with saline memories. Long finish.

The nose has a clean, expressive and highly aromatic intensity. Highlights of white fruit and citrus accompanied by balsamic, floral and light herbaceous notes.
2013 It has a pleasant, voluminous attack. It is a fleshy Spanish wine with an unctuous mid palate and a marked, integrated and crispy acidity which provides it with freshness. Long and considerably persistent finish with fruity aromas which leaves some saline hints.

2011 This wine has a friendly, bulky palate. Its fleshy, unctuous mid palate shows a strong acidity that provides the whole wet with a good freshness. Its complexity and its nuances will improve after some ageing.

A wine with a good aromatic intensity. Its notes of white stone fruit and citrus stand out and are perfectly combined with its balsamic notes on a mineral background.
2010 Good attack. Creamy and tasty mid palate, full of notes of white fruit. Fresh. Good acidity. Elegant and powerful finish.
