About Sorelle Bronca Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Brut N/V
The principles of freshness and quality are unwaveringly upheld at Sorelle Bronca. How is this achieved? By consistently maintaining the base wine at a very low temperature, only extracting the necessary volume for bottling multiple times throughout the year. Quite an innovative concept, wouldn’t you agree?
Through such practices, sisters Antonella and Ersiliana have carved out a reputation as some of the finest Prosecco producers in northern Italy. Among their most intriguing offerings is the Sorelle Bronca Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Brut, a sparkling wine that never fails to make an impression. Whether you’re savoring it during a stunning sunset, a cool summer evening, or a mid-morning aperitif, Sorelle Bronca Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Brut always leaves a lasting mark.
In the Veneto region, north of Italy — precisely in the province of Treviso — the two women oversee the cultivation and production of 14 hectares of vineyards bequeathed to them by their father. Initially, some doubted their capabilities; however, nearly four decades later, they have proven themselves to be unparalleled and inimitable (much like their wines). Thus, in the late 1980s, they were pioneers not only in breaking barriers but also in championing a vinification process that begins with meticulous vineyard care. Their first decision was to eschew chemical products, fertilizers, and derivatives. Only in this way could they respect the vineyard's present and ensure its future, now embodied in Elisa, daughter of Ersiliana, and an oenologist who is gradually stepping into the role.
Sorelle Bronca Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Brut is harvested by hand, pressed, and divided into small batches that are crafted according to demand. It's as if they were thawing the wine as needed. Consequently, albeit at different intervals, all batches of Sorelle Bronca Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Brut undergo the same process. Initially, the must is allowed to reach ambient temperature, and spontaneous fermentation is awaited, using indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks. Subsequently, Sorelle Bronca Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Brut is transferred to autoclave tanks, where the wine will undergo secondary fermentation via the Charmat method. The high pressures, coupled with elevated temperatures, endow the base wine of Sorelle Bronca Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Brut with its characteristic effervescence.
Finally, Sorelle Bronca Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Brut is bottled, and the process is repeated as needed. This ensures the production of one of the finest Italian sparkling wines. Since the inception of Sorelle Bronca Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Brut, the D.O.C.G. Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore has never been the same.
