About Ruavieja Herbs Liqueur

Traditions are deeply rooted in a place and are jealously guarded by local families and communities. Herbal liqueur is a very old Galician tradition used as a digestive after a big meal or as a drink to warm up during the cold Atlantic nights. A symbol of hospitality, each producer has their own recipe mixing herbs and spices with brandy. Since 1889, the Rodríguez Ovalle family of Galician winegrowers have strived to maintain this tradition and over four generations they have kept a recipe made exclusively with natural ingredients found on their land. Under the name Ruavieja, their liqueurs and brandies have become a classic after-dinner drink. 

Ruavieja Licor De Hierbas, the company’s flagship product, is made with selected natural herbs macerated in brandy. A great digestive to enjoy in a cup or in a glass.
