What happens when a distillery chooses to remain silent for years and suddenly presents us with a bottle like this? Roseisle is one of those whiskies that quietly emerges and ends up making a lasting impression: 14 years of maturation, cask strength, and a fresh, elegant, and surprisingly refined personality. A bottle for those who enjoy discovering what has yet to become a classic.
 
Roseisle was born in 2009, near Burghead on the Moray coast, and was the first major malt distillery built in Scotland in over thirty years. From the outset, it was conceived in a different way, with flexibility as part of its identity and the ability to create different styles of whisky. This release is special for that reason: it is only the second time that Roseisle has been introduced to the world as an official single malt.
 
After 14 years in a combination of American oak refill and rejuvenated casks (barrels that are dismantled and re-charred to enhance the oak influence), Roseisle retains all the natural intensity of its cask strength (undiluted), yet finds an extraordinarily elegant balance. Baked apple blends with toffee, vanilla, and caramel, while the wood adds depth and structure without overshadowing its fresh and vibrant character. It is a whisky with presence, yes, but also with a texture and harmony that invite you to discover it at leisure.
