Pazo Señorans Selección Añada 2014 exhibits a pronounced intensity on the nose, where aromas of green apple and citrus fruit intertwine with mineral hints reminiscent of wet stone. On the palate, its character is unveiled through a creamy texture and a light body, whilst maintaining a refreshing balance. The lingering presence of its mineral and fruity flavours beckons one to indulge in sip after sip, notable for its purity and finesse.

About Pazo Señorans Selección Añada

Pazo Señorans Selección de Añada is a white wine produced in the D.O. Rias Baixas by the Pazo Señorans winery. It is probably one of the best wines made from Albariño grapes.
The grapes used for the production of Pazo Señorans Selección de Añada come from old vines over 45 years old planted following the trellis system, so that the plant is protected from the soil moisture and has a great leaf surface area exposed to the sun.
The vineyard is planted about 300 meters above sea level, on poor sandy soil of decomposition of granite. The climate is an Atlantic climate, with mild temperatures and abundant rainfall.
The harvest is done manually in small plastic boxes that ensure an excellent condition of the grapes during their arrival at the winery. It undergoes a peculiar maceration of the grapes in order to obtain all the aromas before the fermentation, which takes place in stainless steel deposits at a controlled temperature of 18°C.
After the fermentation is completed, Pazo Señorans Selección de Añada is aged on its lees in stainless steel deposits for 30 months. Once bottled, it rests for at least 12 months before coming out on the market.
A wonderful albariño wine, ready to be consumed now or to be kept for the next 5 years, in which it will evolve in a very positive way.

2011

Pazo Señorans Selección Añada 2011 is a luscious white wine bursting with the intense aromas of ripe white fruit, nuanced mineral undertones, and echoes of its maturation process. On the palate, it is expansive, richly textured, and full-bodied. This wine possesses a robust structure complemented by a vibrant acidity that imparts an everlasting finish.

 

2010 Pazo Señorans Selección Añada 2010 is a creamy, mature and structured white wine. As with every vintage, it displays the aromas of ripe white stone fruit with sharpness and intensity, with floral notes and an elegant mineral touch. On the palate it is full, expressive and very lingering.
2007 In the mouth, Pazo de Señorans Selección Añada is a sublime wine. With plenty of volume, fresh, tasty, powerful, fleshy. It is extremely unctuous. Notes of white fruit, citrus fruit and certain herbal touches. Great acidity and a long mid-palate with an interesting bitter note. Very persistent.

Straw yellow colour with some greenish hues. Clean, bright and with a great intensity.

Good aromatic intensity. Mixture of aromas of fruits with pit such as peaches and medlars along with hints from the ageing and mineral notes.
2006 Tremendous! Full-bodied wine, very very long. It fills the mouth with a tasty and fleshy unctuosity, powerful, with a plenty of fruit accompanied by a marked acidity which will make it bigger over time. It is already very harmonious, with a great persistence, but it will even improve a lot over time.

Beautiful and pale golden yellow colour with greenish reflections and steely edge. Clean and very bright. Abundant tear.

Varietal aromas stand out with reminiscences of ripe apple, fruits with pit such as the peach, medlar with very powerful mineral notes, well-integrated in the whole. Floral reminiscences, white flowers, citric nuances and refreshing herbaceous hints complete a clean, expressive and high-intensity nose.
2005 An extremely wide wine! A very bulky and extremely long wine, which coats the mouth with a delicious smoothness and power aromas with lots of ripe fruit, accompanied by a balanced acidity. Very harmonious wine with a great persistence.

Nice yellow colour with greenish reflections. Bright and glyceric wine.

Intense, concentrated, elegant and seductive aromas which provide the wine with an attractive complexity. A range of fruity notes is displayed on a strong mineral background, along with lots of citrus and stone fruits, lychee and exotic fruits, which after a short time become more expressive and riper as some hints of baked apples appear. Very subtle and delicate floral aromas.
