About Paltrinieri Lambrusco di Sorbara Solco
Since the dawn of the 20th century, the Paltrinieri family has stood as a cornerstone in the wine production of the Sorbara area, in the province of Modena (Emilia-Romagna), playing a significant role in the qualitative renaissance of the region's wines. Their Lambrusco "Solco" is a true testament to this legacy, offering a semi-dry and effervescent interpretation of the region's quintessential red. Indeed, the name "Solco"—Italian for furrow—conjures the notion of adhering to a tradition or path carved through time. It's a continuity that forges a connection with the local history and culture in its craft.
Birthed in the vineyards of the historic "Cristo zone" of Sorbara, in the municipality of Bomporto, Paltrinieri Lambrusco di Sorbara Solco hails from a 15-hectare plot of fertile and friable soil that has witnessed centuries of viticulture. It is crafted solely from lambrusco salamino grapes, meticulously handpicked and selected. In the winery, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks under temperature control, employing the traditional maceration with the skins. Subsequently, a secondary fermentation is carried out in steel autoclaves using the Charmat method, leaving a slight residual sugar content.
As a result, the Paltrinieri family unveils both tradition and excellence in Paltrinieri Lambrusco di Sorbara Solco. It is a flawless and aromatic rendition of Modena's most iconic wine.
