About Ònix Clàssic Blanc

Ònix Clàssic Blanc is a young white wine produced by the Vinícola del Priorat cooperative with the Macabeo and Garnacha Blanca varieties in the D.O.Q. Priorat (Catalonia).

Vinicola del Priorat is a winery made up of about 140 producing partners who bring together a total of 210 hectares of vineyards and 320 hectares of olive trees. An excellent cooperative in Gratallops (Tarragona) that fully manages the wine production and marketing processes. This is a work that has been passed down from generation to generation and that produces wines with an unmistakable Priorat character.

Ònix Clàssic Blanc comes from vineyards planted on steep slopes. They are old 50-year-old strains planted in the area’s typical soil known as lycorella (slate fragments). The group cultivates using traditional and artisan methods to achieve low yield harvests of around one kilo from each strain, but the quality it exceptional.

In the winery, the Ònix Clàssic Blanc grapes are carefully selected, destemmed and pressed. Once the must is obtained, it undergoes a fermentation process in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Finally, when the wine is ready, it is filtered, clarified and bottled.

Ònix Clàssic Blanc is a white wine made by a cooperative. All their work comes from a love for the land and results in wines full of Priorat freshness, intensity and minerality.

2023

Ònix Clàssic Blanc 2023 is a subtly full-bodied and slightly aromatic white wine. On the nose, it stands out for its fresh notes of green apple and pear, with a hint of lemon citrus. On the palate, it is balanced and fresh, with well-integrated acidity that enhances its clean and defined profile. Its finish is pleasant and persistent, leaving a refreshing sensation.
2018 Ònix Clàssic Blanc 2018 is an aromatic white wine with ripe white and tropical fruit and vegetable notes. On the palate it is fresh, sweet and fruity. It reveals a good acidity with citrus notes and a mineral touch at the end.
