About Oddbird Sparkling Rosé

Sparkling wine triumphs wherever it goes. Elegant and fun at the same time, it is guaranteed to go down well at celebrations and special events. Smooth and fruity, it is also an easy-to-drink beverage and very adaptable to a variety of tastes and palates. So when Moa Gürbüzer, a former Swedish therapist who set up Oddbird, the first alcohol-free natural winemaking project with the aim of changing society’s approach to alcohol, she didn't hesitate for a second in adding a sparkling rosé to her premium collection.

Oddbird Sparkling Rosé is a sparkling wine made with Chardonnay and Syrah grapes from vineyards located in the Languedoc-Rousillon region (France) whose soils are characterised by clay, marl and sandstone. The work is organic and the harvest is carried out manually when the grapes reach optimum ripeness. Once in the winery, the best grapes are carefully selected and destemmed. Spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts is then started to obtain the base wines. After the cuvée is blended, a second fermentation follows, adding 40g/l of sugar. When the wine has become sparkling, it remains in the bottle for 12 months and finally it has the alcohol carefully removed to preserve its aromas and flavours.
