About La Garnacha de Mustiguillo

La Garnacha de Mustiguillo is a red wine produced by Bodegas Mustinguillo in Utiel, Valencia, under the D.O.P. Terrerazo.
 

The DOP Terrarazo is a Spanish geographical indication for Vino de Pago. The El Terrerazo estate is currently home to 87 hectares of vineyards, where the wines are produced under the “vino de pago” classification.  
 

La Garnacha de Mustiguillo is harvested manually in small 15kg boxes. At the winery the grapes pass through two selection tables for their selection. Fermentation then takes place in 80hl wooden vats, with 20% of the stems in tact to ensure that a compact layer does not form, with light pumping and gentle pigeage for 10 days. Post formative maceration is then carried out for 8 more days. Following this, the wine is aged for 10 months in French oak barrels.
 

La Garnacha de Mustiguillo has an airy and fresh profile, which seeks to put its fruitiness and acidity before its concentration. 

2023

Mustiguillo Garnacha 2023 is a red wine that captivates with its elegant aroma of ripe red berries and delicate Mediterranean herbs. Its clean and refined nose heralds a medium-bodied, light and sophisticated wine, with polished tannins and an enveloping freshness. On the palate, it stands out for its silky texture and a long finish, marked by subtle calcareous notes that reflect the supercalcareous soils from which it originates. A sublime expression of finesse and balance.

La Garnacha de Mustiguillo 2021 is a medium-bodied red wine with delicate tannins and an inviting, fragrant bouquet where red fruits are accentuated by a hint of floral notes. On the palate, it is refined and delightful, exuding a distinctly Mediterranean essence. This Garnacha imparts a gentle sensation in the mouth, providing an exceedingly enjoyable experience.
