Moreau-Naudet Chablis 1er Cru Montée Tonnerre is a biodynamic and organic white wine from the AOC Chablis Premier Cru, in Burgundy (France). A deep and crisp Chardonnay made by Domaine Moreau-Naudet.
The Moreau-Naudet estate has been working vineyards since the 17th century and is now run by Stéphane Moreau and his wife Virginie. They produce signature wines in the Petit Chablis, Chablis and Chablis Premier Cru denominations. Virginie is currently running the project on her own after the sad passing of her husband in 2016. However, the style is the same, deliciously crisp wines with long aging but not heavy.
Moreau-Naudet Chablis 1er Cru Montée Tonnerre comes from one of the most significant “Premiers Cru” in Burgundy. Vineyards with a spectacular geological structure and excellent exposure result in a superior quality Chardonnay. The vines are cultivated using organic agriculture with biodynamic principles and the grapes are harvested by hand when they are ripe.
In the winery, the best grapes are selected to make Moreau-Naudet Chablis 1er Cru Montée Tonnerre. Once pressed, the resulting must ferments spontaneously with native yeasts and the wine undergoes a long aging process on its lees in different types of vats.
Moreau-Naudet Chablis 1er Cru Montée Tonnerre is a signature wine that perfectly expresses the Chablis landscape. A pure, crisp Chardonnay with an attractive saline concentration.
