Here, the terrain is characterized by steep slopes, ranging between 350 and 450 meters in elevation, with an abundance of slate and llicorella soils. This particular base, with excellent drainage capacity, does not readily provide the water the vines desperately need, forcing them to extend their roots deep into the earth. The continental influence of this area partly mitigates this situation, helping to cool the hot, dry summers. In fact, the yields are not very high, averaging 300 grams per vine; however, in this case, the low quantity is synonymous with quality, achieving great concentration that translates into an unparalleled wine in the cellar.
