About Luna Beberide Godello

Luna Beberide Godello is a white wine from the D.O. Bierzo produced by the Luna Beberide winery. This is a single variety wine made exclusively with the Godello grape variety.

The grapes used for this wine come from 80 hectares of vineyards which grow recovered cloned selections of Godello on vines that are over 60 years old, located in el Bierzo. The grapes used for Luna Beberide Godello grow on Calcareous clay soils with slate. The area is home to a continental and Atlantic climate, which has a great influence on the final result of the characteristics of the grape.

After the harvest has been carried out, the winemaking process begins with fermentation at controlled temperatures between 12º-15ºC. The various phases of the winemaking process finishes with the wine ageing for 6 months on its lees in stainless steel tanks.

The Luna Beberide winery, founded in 1996, focuses much of its efforts to its work with the Mencía grape variety, the most cultivated variety in the Bierzo region. With this wine, their work with the Godello variety has left for a pleasant and surprising wine.
