About Louis Latour Chablis

Louis Latour Chablis is a single-variety white wine made from Chardonnay by Louis Latour in Chablis, Burgundy.

Louis Latour is a winery in Burgundy with over two centuries of history. Eleven generations have managed the estate. The winery owns approximately 50 hectares. Louis Latour also acts as a negociant, purchasing and vinifying grapes from third parties. The winery even has its own cooperage, producing around 3,000 barrels annually.

The vineyards of Louis Latour Chablis have an average age of 30 years, with soils composed of limestone from the late Jurassic period. The average yield per hectare is 45hl, and the grapes are harvested mechanically.

Louis Latour Chablis is traditionally crafted in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The wine also undergoes malolactic fermentation to enhance its creaminess and reduce acidity. Finally, the wine rests in stainless steel tanks for about 8 to 10 months.

Louis Latour Chablis is a pleasant, fruity, and creamy Chardonnay with a long and enveloping finish.

2017 Louis Latour Chablis 2017 has floral aromas with almond notes. On the palate it is fresh and creamy with aromas of chlorophyll. It has a pleasantly tense finish.
