About Le Petit Gimios Muscat Sec

Le Petit Gimios Muscat sec is a natural monovarietal Muscat white wine produced by Le Petit Domaine de Gimios, in the Languedoc Roussillonarea.

Le Petit Domaine de Gimios is a winery founded in 1993 by Anne-Marie Lavaysse. It started recovering very old abandoned vineyards of Muscatel and little by little has continued to incorporate other small plots with red varieties. It cultivates its vineyards biodynamically and makes natural wines, without adding even a pinch of sulphite.

The grapes for Le Petit Gimios Muscat sec come from a centuries-old vineyard that is located on rocky and calcareous land with very low yields. The bunches are destemmed, covered and pressed by stepping on them with the feet. They ferment due to the action of native yeasts and the wine is bottled after a brief ageing of a few months in stainless steel tanks.

Le Petit Gimios Muscat sec is a natural, fruity and complex white that is intense and fresh on the palate.
2016 Le Petit Gimios Muscat sec 2016 has a complex and intriguing nose, with floral aromas, citrus and hints of minerals. On the palate it is a little warm, aromatic and intense, with soft notes of fruit and a pleasant freshness.
