About Las Vedras Limo Tinto

Some individuals leave an indelible mark on time. António Carvalho was one such person: a passionate Portuguese vintner who, in Torres Vedras, cultivated a unique mosaic of French and Portuguese vines. His vineyards, nurtured with patience and a deep respect for the land, have become true treasures. Each vine embodies years of labour, climate, and soil, and today they remain the cornerstone of the Las Vedras project.

It all began in 2019, when Pedro Marques and Sónia Raposo discovered in this legacy the perfect starting point for their own vision of natural wine. They cultivate vineyards aged between 30 and 80 years, adhering to a philosophy of minimal intervention, manual harvesting, and artisanal winemaking, allowing each vine to reveal its own personality and character.

Las Vedras Limo Tinto is evidence that some marks remain untouched. A blend of native and international varieties—castelão, alicante bouschet, touriga nacional, merlot, and cabernet sauvignon—that conveys the freshness of the Atlantic winds and the complexity of old vines. In the winery, the vinification is natural and the wine is aged for 6 months in oak barrels, imparting structure and smoothness without overshadowing the fruit.

The result is Las Vedras Limo Tinto, an elegant, fresh, and memorable wine. A genuine nod to the history of the vineyards and the passion of those who tend to them today.
