About L’Anglore Nizon

L'Anglore Nizon is made in the A.O.C. Tavel, where the best rosés in the world are said to be made. This red wine is made by Eric Pfifferling in the Rhone Valley, southeast France (an hour and a half from Marseille).

Eric Pfiffierling produces L'Anglore Nizon from his domaine l'Anglore, in Tavel, specifically on the right bank of the Rhone (between Pont d'Avignon and Pont du Gard). But he is not working alone: right by his side he has got the rest of his family: his wife Marie and their two children, Joris and Thibault, have been in charge of running the 20 hectares of land inherited from his grandmother since 2018 and that they now cultivated without using any chemicals.

Using this land, the Pfiffierlings want to continue a family tradition that began when their grandfather started selling the grapes he was growing and culminated in 2000, when the domaine l'Anglore was created with a very clear principle: minimal intervention both in the vineyard and in the winery where L'Anglore Nizon is made. They do this through manual harvests, macerating the whole bunches for 15 days and aging the wine in stainless steel tanks.

L'Anglore Nizon 2019 is a juicy and smooth wine, made with Garnacha Tinta. On the nose there are floral notes (like rose and violet). On the palate it is balanced and flavoursome with a certain acidity and hints of black and stone fruits.
