About La Mula de la Quietud

La Mula de la Quietud is a red wine from Toro produced by the Quinta de la Quietud winery. This winery is located in the town of Toro, east of the province of Zamora.

La Mula de la Quietud, a varietal Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo) is an artisan wine, that is, a wine with its own, very personal resources.

The grapes come from very old vines, between 80 and 100 years old with less than 100kg / ha. The vineyards are planted on sandy loam-clay soils at an altitude of between 665 and 700m.

For the preparation of La Mula de la Quietud a long maceration of the must is first performed for about 18-20 days, it is then aged in new French oak barrels for 20 months.

La Mula de la Quietud is a modern style wine with a very limited production.

2017

La Mula de la Quietud 2017 is a robust red wine. The bouquet is commanding, infused with the scent of ripe black fruits, licorice, black pepper, balsamic nuances, and mineral undertones. On the palate, it is powerful yet harmonious.

2016 La mula de la quietud 2016 is a mature red wine with intense aromas of ripe black fruit, sweet spices and touches of cocoa. On the palate it is powerful, deep and very complex. It reveals silky tannins, a good structure and a pleasant fruity flavour that persists to the finish.
2014 La Mula de la Quietud 2014 is a mature, powerful and complex red wine. This vintage reveals the aromas of aging clearly, with elegant toasted notes of tobacco and licorice. On the palate it is powerful and with a great deal of personality.
2009 Good entry, silky and with volume. Long pass, with ripe and well integrated tannins. Long and pleasant finish.
