About La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion

Behold the arrival of an exceptional red wine, a truly unique and rare gem with only a limited number of bottles produced. We are referring to La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion, one of the finest wines you could ever encounter. Esteemed critics have endorsed this statement with their fantastic reviews that leave a lingering taste in your mouth and an insatiable desire to sample this historic vintage.

Often considered the younger sibling of Château La Mission Haut-Brion, La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion is by no means overshadowed. It shares the same meticulous production process, the same dedication, and the same centuries-old expertise that has become the hallmark of this storied French winery. Situated within the A.O.C. Pessac-Leognan, nestled between Talence and Pessac (southwest of Bordeaux), this modest estate (note the irony) spans some 29 hectares. It has witnessed the passage of historical figures who have left an indelible mark on both the vineyard and its surroundings. One such legacy is that of the Vincentian monks who, in the 17th century, devoted themselves to the cultivation of the vines and the art of winemaking. During this era, the order even constructed a chapel known as Notre Dame d’Aubrion, to which La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion pays homage.

La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion will be a sublime blend of merlot, cabernet franc, and cabernet sauvignon. Each varietal is cultivated in distinct parcels; each is harvested by hand; each ferments separately. The unique character of each plot and varietal will be enhanced in the vats of La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion until the moment of assemblage, a crucial step in the winemaking process that will be conducted by both experts and the technical team of the winery. In total, around twenty vats and between thirty to forty blends will be tested to identify the most harmonious combination.

Life offers few opportunities like this one. Rarely will you find the chance to taste and experience a red wine such as La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion. Do not hesitate! It will be an unforgettable encounter.
