About Kolonne Null Cuvee Rouge No.2 Más que Vinos

Since 2018 Kolonne Null has been travelling around the world looking for the best grapes for their alcohol-free wines: Germany, France, and now Spain as well with Kolonne Null Cuvee Rouge No.2 Más que Vinos!

Margarita Madrigal, Alexandra Schmedes and Gonzálo Rodríguez accompany Philipp Rößle on this new adventure, where they make this red wine from the Ocaña plateau. Here, very close to Toledo, at an altitude of 750 metres, they grow the perfect red grape varieties for this wine. Most of the vineyards are home to old vines, trained using the bush method and organically cultivated. For some years the entire harvest was vinified at La Plazuela, the family winery built in 1851 where the wines were aged in vats. This was the case until 2007, when the new winery was opened next to the town of Cabañas de Yepe.

The entire process used by this Spanish company is the starting point for the subsequent product, where Kolonne Null comes into play by removing the alcohol through vacuum distillation. This method, the most respectful of all, ensures that the alcohol is gradually released, keeping the rest of the wine’s characteristics and quality intact.
