Jean Leon 3055 Petit Verdot Merlot is a red wine from Penedès prepared by the Jean Leon winery.

This winery, located in Torrelavit (Barcelona), pays tribute to the life of Jean Leon, a Spaniard of humble origins who managed to succeed in Hollywood, thanks to a restaurant that eventually became an icon.

Jean Leon began as a taxi driver in New York and this wine pays homage to that stage of his life. The number 3055 recalls the taxi driving license.

Jean Leon 3055 Petit Verdot Merlot is made from grapes of Merlot and Petit Verdot, planted at an altitude of 600m. This red wine is part of the circulation of organic wines from the cellar.

Its preparation includes a fermentation in stainless steel tanks and aging in oak barrels for four months.

Jean Leon 3055 Petit Verdot - Merlot 2021 is a red wine that on the nose presents bouquets reminiscent of black cherries, complemented by spiced undertones (clove, black pepper) and hints of Mediterranean aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is opulent and delightful, with a pronounced freshness. This red wine is elegant and adaptable, culminating in a lengthy and enduring finish.

Jean Leon 3055 Petit Verdot Merlot 2020 is a flavoursome and fresh red wine with a cherry colour. The nose is intense, with black cherry, hazelnut, clove, black pepper and aromatic herbs. On the palate it is pleasant and voluminous. Tasty acidity. Long and persistent finish.
