About Javier Revert Micalet

Javier Revert Micalet is a white wine produced by Javier Revert Viticultor in La Font de la Figuera, D.O. Valencia.
 

Javier Revert Viticultor is the personal project of Javi Revert, oenologist and part of the technical team of Celler del Roure since 2009.

It all started in 2014, when Javier started to recover a vineyard planted by his great-grandfather in the highest area of Font de la Figuera, an area influenced by the Mediterranean character and the harsh winter of La Mancha. It was in the 2016 vintage when their first wines were launched.

Javier Revert is one of the young winemakers who tries to interpret the landscape, looking for the best orientations, recovering abandoned vineyards and planting new ones with historical varieties from the area.
 

Javier Revert Micalet is a white wine made with Trepadell, Tortosí and other white selected varieties from a single vineyard with the same name, planted in 1948 by Javier’s great-grandfather on white calcareous soils.

The harvest is manual and all the varieties are collected together. Once in the winery, the whole bunches are pressed. Part of the wine ferments without temperature control in barrels, where it remains for 8 months. The rest is aged in glass demijohns for 8 months with their lees at rest.

Javier Revert Micalet 2020 is an expressive wine, brimming with character and vivacity. It boasts a remarkable bouquet, featuring refined scents of white fruit, hints of fennel, and Mediterranean herbs, complemented by a distinguished mineral undertone. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with seamlessly integrated acidity, rendering it enduringly pleasant and eminently satisfying.
2018 Javier Revert Micalet 2018 is an expressive wine, with personality and freshness. Spectacular on the nose, with elegant aromas of white fruit, notes of fennel and Mediterranean herbs, with a very distinguished mineral touch. In the mouth, it is voluminous, with a very well integrated acidity that makes it long and very pleasant.
