Tasting notes Jacquart Mosaique Brut

Champagne Brut Respectful agriculture. 3 3 años en botella sin degüelle and 3 meses en botella con degüelle.

Jacquart Mosaique Brut is a dry sparkling wine (between 9 -10 g/L of sugar), with a very fresh and delicate profile. The nose is very attractive and fruity, with pear, peach, fresh apricot and white flowers and roses. Nuts appear in the background. The palate is generous and creamy, very tasty, where the white fruit and lemon zest continue to appear at the end.

About Jacquart Mosaique Brut

With the same strength and vitality that characterise youth we find Jacquart, one of the newest houses in the A.O.C. Champagne, northwest France.

From the beginning, when it was founded in 1964, this winery has been very clear about the optimistic and cheerful vision with which they make their sparkling wines. Compared to other companies in the A.O.C. Champagne, Jacquart Mosaique Brut has a more modern and relaxed approach, far from the seriousness of the more traditional houses. However, what Jacquart does hold onto is the Chardonnay (the typical variety) and the long aging of their sparkling wines. Only in this way can they reflect the typical clay (the area’s calcareous soil) and the cool, northern climate that is so characteristic of this region in every bottle. Jacquart are assisted in their work by partner winegrowers, who supply grapes to the winery. All of them (there are more than 60) are fully coordinated and supervised by the Jacquart team. From here the experts help the winegrowers, ensuring that the vineyards are respected. This is because Jacquart believes in respectful agriculture, where the health and quality of the vineyards and vines will not be compromised in the future.

Jacquart Mosaique Brut is a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. After malolactic fermentation, which takes place in these same tanks, Jacquart Mosaique Brut is bottled and spends several years resting, awaiting a second fermentation in the bottle and remaining in contact with the lees. Finally, after disgorging and dosage, Jacquart Mosaique Brut spends a few months resting in the bottle.
