About Fromm Sauvignon Blanc

Fromm Sauvignon Blanc is a white wine aged on lees made by the Fromm Winery on New Zealand’s South Island with the Sauvignon Blanc variety.

In 1992 Georg Fromm’s dream came true when he set up his own winemaking project in one of New Zealand’s most fruitful regions. Fromm Winery has now become a leading winery characterised by producing wines using traditional European methods but with a southern hemisphere character.

Fromm Sauvignon Blanc comes from organic vineyards that are cultivated without using pesticides or chemicals. These are organic vines that grow in a mild climate and enjoy many hours of sunlight. The grapes are harvested by hand early in the season for greater acidity.

In the winery, the Fromm Sauvignon Blanc grapes are placed directly into the stainless steel tank for fermentation. Then, some of the wine ages for a time in French barrels to give it body and density.

Fromm Sauvignon Blanc is an organic white wine with an acidity and minerality that reveals the characteristics of the Marlborough region.
2018 Fromm Sauvignon Blanc 2018 is an aromatic white wine with citrus notes, ripe white fruits and mineral notes. On the palate it is dense and fruity with high acidity. The finish is dry and firm.
