About Fasoli Gino Corte del Pozzo Amarone

Many vineyards began as fruit and vegetable farms and, over time, have evolved into prestigious wineries. This is the case of a family that, from delivering wine in demijohns to the finest taverns in the area, has seen its fourth generation become a prominent figure in the Soave region of Verona, Italy. Self-described as "farmers at heart", the brothers Fasoli, Matteo and Giordano, have channelled their passion for viticulture through a profound respect for the land. Their approach focuses on sustainable agricultural practices, which not only honour the family legacy but also ensure the health of the ecosystem in which they operate. Thus, in the early 1980s, they made the firm decision to adopt organic farming and, more recently, have implemented the biodynamic method, integrating natural cycles and cosmic rhythms into their production process.

Their wine Fasoli Gino Corte del Pozzo Amarone is crafted from the corvina, corvinone and rondinella varieties sourced from the renowned Valpolicella region. Organic vines that thrive in clay and stony soil and a favourable microclimate. The harvest is meticulously carried out by hand to select the finest grapes. Then, in the winery, the grapes are air-dried in special drying rooms to achieve concentrated aromas. The grapes are gently pressed and fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures for 25/35 days. Afterwards, the wine ages in oak barrels for at least 36 months.

The result is Fasoli Gino Corte del Pozzo Amarone, a complex and intense amarone integrated into the DOCG Amarone della Valpolicella Classico that speaks volumes of the history and tradition of the beautiful Valpolicella region. An unforgettable experience!

2017

Fasoli Gino Corte del Pozzo Amarone 2017 is a red wine that captivates with its intense red hue, bordering on dark ruby. On the nose, it unveils aromas of ripe cherries, plums, and a hint of spice, complemented by notes of chocolate and dried fruits. On the palate, it is full-bodied and velvety, with well-balanced acidity and smooth tannins that lend it elegance. The finish is long and persistent, offering a genuine delight for the senses.
