About Entre Vinyes Oníric Pet Nat

Freud posited that throughout history, humanity has faced three profound humiliations: Galileo's discovery, which unveiled that we are not the center of the Universe; Darwin's theory, which challenged our status as the pinnacle of creation; and his own revelation, demonstrating that we do not have full command over our own minds. Indeed, one of Freud's most notable insights was the notion that suppressed emotions within the subconscious surface during dreams, and that recalling snippets of these can aid in unearthing hidden emotions and memories. It is from this concept that the idea of the dream element arises, where dreams act as a portal to our inner world. Entre Viñas, a project conceived by Maria Barrena (a member of Azul y Garanza) alongside her partner Josep Tort in El Arboç, in the Baix Penedès (Catalonia), embraces this term to describe their first pétillant, Entre Vinyes Oníric Pet Nat, an ancestral sparkling wine born from the reclaimed processes of our forebears and which beckons us to uncover emotions with each sip.

Crafted from xarel·lo and muscat grapes, Entre Vinyes Oníric Pet Nat is a dreamy, naturally effervescent wine. Originating from vineyards managed by Josep's family since the 1940s, these are vines over 60 years old, rooted in limestone soil within the Foix Natural Park, in the Penedès. Adhering to the philosophy that María applies in the Navarrese project Azul y Garanza, they employ organic, regenerative practices that safeguard and enhance biodiversity over the long term. Once in the winery, each variety is sorted and vinified separately in clay amphorae. Then, before fermentation is complete, they are blended and bottled to finish in the ancestral style, without disgorging and with no added SO2. Thanks to this method, which respects the integrity of the fruit, all the primary aromas of the grape are preserved, resulting in a wine that is exceptionally fruity.

While the Penedès is primarily known for Cava, Entre Vinyes Oníric Pet Nat presents itself as the most natural expression of this Catalan region's style. A dreamlike sparkling wine that invites you to revel in the effervescent sensations of lightness, freshness, and fruitiness that arise with each taste.
