About Emilio Moro

Emilio Moro is a red wine crafted by the winery Emilio Moro in Pesquera de Duero, DO. Ribera del Duero

Emilio Moro is a family-run winery that continues to produce wine in a traditional manner, utilising knowledge passed down through generations since its establishment over 70 years ago.

Currently, they own 375 hectares of vineyards, all grafted with the purest clone of Tinto Fino. The oldest date back to 1924, located in the Valderramiro estate, in the very heart of the Ribera del Duero.

All vineyards are cultivated sustainably with the utmost respect for the terroir and its landscape, employing technology to enhance quality, both in the vineyard and the winery across all processes. In this way, Emilio Moro has succeeded in establishing a distinct and precise identity in crafting the traditional yet modern red wines of the Ribera del Duero.

Emilio Moro is produced from vineyards aged between 15 and 25 years, capturing the essence of the three soil types of the Ribera del Duero, endowing the wine with a wide array of nuances. It is made from 100% Tinto Fino (known as tempranillo), undergoing a 15-day maceration with the skins, followed by aging for up to 12 months in American and French oak barrels before bottling.

Emilio Moro exhibits a great variety of taste sensations that manifest on the palate in an intense, pleasant, and appealing manner. On the nose, it is distinguished by its richness and variety of aromas, such as toasted notes, wood, dark fruits, and vanilla.
