Domaine des Lambrays Morey-Saint-Denis is a barrel-aged red wine made from the Pinot Noir variety in the AOC Morey-Saint-Denis / Côte-d'Or (Burgundy) by Domaine des Lambrays.

Domaine Des Lambrays, one of the most prestigious wine estates in the Côte de Nuits, in the province of Côte-d'Or (Burgundy), produces extraordinary wines with the Pinot Noir variety. Located in the village of Morey-Saint-Denis, the vineyard was promoted from Premier Cru to Grand Cru in 1981. The estate was bought by LVMH in 2016, and is currently managed by the prestigious Boris Champy, who previously worked at Louis Latour and Dominus in the USA. With all of this behind them, these wines have extraordinary potential.

Domaine des Lambrays Morey-Saint-Denis comes from one of the best terroirs in Côte-d'Or. The vines are planted in calcareous clay soils with a high limestone content. They use environmentally friendly agriculture without chemical products, ploughing on horseback and harvesting manually at the optimal point of ripeness.

In the winery, the full clusters used to make Domaine des Lambrays Morey-Saint-Denis macerate and undergo a long fermentation. The wine is then aged in barrels, 50% of which are new oak. It is finally bottled without refining or filtering.

Made from one of the connoisseurs’ favourite grape varieties, Domaine des Lambrays Morey-Saint-Denis is a complex and flavoursome wine. It is a great tribute to the town the estate lies in.

2017 Domaine des Lambrays Morey-Saint-Denis 2017 is a smooth red wine with aromas of ripe red and black fruit and mineral notes. On the palate it is a medium-bodied and balanced wine with good acidity, very pleasant floral notes and a salty touch at the end. It develops very well in the bottle for 20 years.
