Domaine Arretxea Hegoxuri Blanc 2021 is an invigorating young white wine that enchants with its aromatic array of white blossoms, lemon zest, grapefruit, and hints of mango and papaya. Upon tasting, its vivacity comes to the forefront, pirouetting on the palate with a sparkling acidity. Flavours of crisp apple and juicy pear interlace with a subtle minerality, culminating in an extensive and invigorating finish that beckons for another sip. This wine encapsulates the quintessence of youthfulness and zest.

About Domaine Arretxea Hegoxuri Blanc

Domaine Arretxea Hegoxuri Blanc is a biodynamic white wine made by Domaine Arretxea with the Gros Manseng, Petit Manseng and Petit Courbu varieties in the AOC Irouléuy, in the French region of Aquitaine.
 
Located in Irouléguy, in the Aquitaine region, Domaine Arretxea, which means “house of stone”, is run by Thérèse and Michel Riouspeyrous, who took on the family estate in 1989 and have made it one of the best representatives of this region’s wines. They produce biodynamic wines with a very original expression. 
 
Domaine Arretxea Hegoxuri Blanc is made from 5 hectares of vineyards lying on terraces and slopes at the foot of the mountain. The vines have been certified organic since 1998 and are now also biodynamic. So no chemicals are used and all treatments are organic and plant-based. The harvest is carried out manually taking into account lunar phases. 
 
In the winery, the Domaine Arretxea Hegoxuri Blanc grapes are gently pressed and the resulting must spontaneously ferments in concrete tanks. The wine spends a minimum of 12 months there. Finally the wine is bottled without being filtered.
 
Domaine Arretxea Hegoxuri Blanc is an exceptional cuvée that is completely unique. An energetic and impressively spicy white wine that will develop well in the bottle for a long time.

Domaine Arretxea Hegoxuri Blanc 2019 is a white wine with intense aromas of white, exotic and citrus fruits accompanied by floral notes and herbaceous touches. On the palate it is vigorous, slightly chalky and decidedly sharp. A wine with such wonderful acidity that guarantees a long life.
