About Còsmic Connexió Còsmica

Còsmic Connexió Còsmica is an orange wine made by Còsmic Vinyaters with the Xarel·lo, Moscatel de Alejandría and Chardonnay varieties in Penedès (Catalonia). 
 
Cosmic Vinyaters is run by Salvador Batlle, a viticulturist who works in two different landscapes of Catalonia, in the Alt Empordà and the Baix Penedès, with a total of 9.5 hectares of vineyards that are cultivated in the most natural way possible, using ecological and biodynamic agriculture. In the winery, the main priorities are minimal intervention and maximum respect for the natural environment where the grapes grow. As a result, they produce pure wines that perfectly reflect the terroir.
 
Còsmic Connexió Còsmica comes from vines planted on shallow calcareous clay soils at 300-500 metres above sea level. They are cultivated using organic agriculture with biodynamic treatments based on plant infusions and taking into account the lunar phases. When the grapes reach optimum ripeness, they are harvested manually. 
 
In the winery, the Còsmic Connexió Còsmica grapes macerate with skins and part of the stems for 8 days. There is then a gentle pressing and the resulting must ferments spontaneously with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks. Finally, it is aged on fine lees and is bottled without clarifying or filtering.
 
Còsmic Connexió Còsmica was made as a tribute to the peasants who love and work the land. A biodynamic wine that aims to connect peasants and final consumers. A very pure and transparent orange wine made using ancient methods. 
 
2019
Còsmic Connexió Còsmica 2019 is an aromatic orange wine with deep fruity and floral fragrances interspersed with herbaceous touches. On the palate it is fresh, granular and fruity. A wine with marked acidity and a long and persistent finish.
