About Ceretto Moscato d'Asti
Ceretto Moscato d'Asti is a sparkling monovarietal sweet white wine made from Moscato Bianco produced by Ceretto and belonging to the DOCG Moscato d'Asti.
Ceretto is a group from the Italian Piedmont that owns different wineries. In total it controls 160 hectares that it owns and that it vinifies in four wineries. It produces a total of 17 wines that it exports to a total of 60 countries. It produces quality wines that express the typicality of its vineyards and its area.
The vineyards for Ceretto Moscato d'Asti cover an area of 42 hectares. The plots are at an altitude of between 300 and 400 metres, in a mountainous whitish soil composed of clay, sand and silt. The wine was produced for the first time in 1978, and the label and bottle were designed by the famous Italian designer Giacomo Bersanetti in 1987.
Ceretto Moscato d'Asti is vinified seeking to respect the grape and its aromatic potential as much as possible. This is why it is fermented exclusively in stainless steel autoclaves, so that the fruity aromas of the grape are preserved to the maximum. Furthermore, to achieve this purpose, operations such as racking by decanting, clarification and filtration are not excessively severe either.
