About Ca' Lojera Chiaretto Riviera del Garda Classico

The largest natural freshwater area in Italy lies in the alpine area, specifically in northern Italy between the Alps and the Padan plain. This is Lake Garda, a large natural water reservoir that bathes three different regions: Lombardy, Trentino-Alto Adige and Veneto, and the surrounding nature is so varied that it is one of the main examples of biodiversity. One of the wineries that has managed to take advantage of this paradise is Ca' Lojera (“House of the wolves” in Italian). With 18 hectares of vineyards that look like carefully tended gardens, Franco and Ambra Tiraboschi, the current managers, combine landscape, tradition and modernity to produce small, high quality wines.

Their rosé is Ca' Lojera Chiaretto Riviera del Garda Classico, a coupage made with the Marzemino, Groppello, Sangiovese and Barbera varieties. Traditional agriculture is used and the grapes are harvested strictly by hand. Then, in the winery, the grapes are vinified with an initial maceration in contact with the skins in stainless steel tanks and fermentation at a controlled temperature. Once it has developed its characteristic rosé colour, the wine rests on its lees and finally stays in the bottle for a few months before being released for sale.

Part of the DOC Chiaretto Riviera del Garda Classico, on the southern shore of Lake Garda, Ca' Lojera Chiaretto Riviera del Garda Classico is a typical rosé of the area. Thanks to the way this wine stimulates saliva on the palate, it is always ready for a good time.

 

2020

Ca' Lojera Chiaretto Riviera del Garda Classico 2020 is a fresh, intense rosé with lively tones. The nose is intense, varied and complex, with different aromas that evolve. Of all of them, the one that stands out the most is the slight hint of red fruits. On the palate it maintains this very appetising freshness, with very marked and pleasant flavours. Perfect as an aperitif, to share with friends, and nothing too complicated.
