Spain beats Italy and France as the largest exporter of wine in the world
Good news for the Spanish wine industry! And according to the latest news, Spain has become the largest exporter of wine in the world, ahead of even France and Italy, which has been the leader in exports in recent years.
Between September 2013 and September 2014, Spain sold a total of 2,168 million litres of wine (+ 19.9%), compared to 2.035 million litres in Italy (-1.7%). France remains the third largest exporter in terms of volume, but it stands as world leader in terms of value.
