About Billaud-Simon Chablis

Billaud-Simon Chablis is a monovarietal Chardonnay white wine from the AOC Chablis produced by Domaine Billaud-Simon.

Domaine Billaud-Simon is a winery established in Chablis in 1815. It cultivates 17 hectares, mainly planted with Chardonnay, including four Grands Crus and four Premiers Crus. Its vineyards are an average of 50 years old, and all the plots are located along the river Serein, at a maximum distance of two kilometres radius from the winery. The winery seeks to produce Chablis wines of the highest quality.

Domaine Billaud-Simon was modernised in 1991 to remain at the vanguard of Chablis winemaking, and introduced enough technology to control the temperature of the fermentations and storage of their wines in a precise way. Most of the winery's wines do not see oak, or fermentation or ageing in foudres or barrels, since the aim is to produce elegant, pure, balanced and fresh wines, and the winery believes that this profile is more easily achieved by working with stainless steel.

2018 Billaud-Simon Chablis 2018 is an exquisitely contoured white wine boasting aromas of white stone fruit, exotic tropical fruits, complemented by citrus and balsamic nuances. On the palate, it reveals itself as a rich, vibrant, and intense wine. A well-structured vintage where the fruit contends seamlessly with an underlying minerality.
2017 Billaud-Simon Chablis 2017 is a wine that offers aromas of pear, banana, citrus fruit and brioche. Its palate is balanced, rich, fresh and elegant. It is a smooth wine, rich in structure and persistence that harmoniously combines ripe fruit with mineral notes.
