About Barón de Ley Rosado

Barón de Ley Rosado is a young rosé wine crafted from tempranillo, garnacha tinta, and graciano varieties in the DOCa. Rioja by Barón de Ley.

Although the history of this winery in Rioja dates back to 1548 with the construction of a castle, Barón de Ley was actually founded in 1985 by a group of local professionals who came together to create a winery in the French style of the Médoc châteaux. Currently, the winery manages over 600 hectares of vineyards spread across the denomination to produce wines from Rioja Alta, Navarra, and Rioja Baja.

Barón de Ley Rosado comes from 30-year-old estate vineyards located in the Navarrese town of Mendavia. This location, at 400 meters above sea level, enjoys a continental climate with Mediterranean influences, where traditional agriculture is practiced and harvesting is done manually.

After being destemmed, the grapes for Barón de Ley Rosado ferment in stainless steel tanks at a constant temperature of 16°C. The wine is produced using the saignée method, with the must macerating with its own skins for 8 hours at a low temperature.

Barón de Ley Rosado is a young, refreshing rosé wine. A true classic originating from the DOCa. Rioja in the most châteaux style.
