About Bodegas Y Vinedos Attis 'Attis' Albarino
Attis is a white wine produced by the winery Attis Bodegas y Viñedo in Dena, D.O.Rías Baixas.
Attis Bodegas y Viñedos is a family-run winery located in the centre of Val de Salnes, a small village located on the hillside of mount Penaguda, opposite the Arousa and Pontevedra estuaries.
Right next to the house where they made their first wines in a traditional way, they built this winery that is completely integrated in the surroundings. Here, they vinified their first vintage in 2012.
Attis Bodegas y Viñedos own and cultivate 5 hectares of vines divided into small plots located between 100 and 400 metres of altitude. The soils are loamy-sandy with a lot of stones, and the climate has an Atlantic influence, with mild temperatures, and high rainfall that is well distributed. In the summer, however, rain levels tend to decrease.
Their wines honestly respect and enhance the variety, gathering all its features like its acidity, its minerality and its fruitiness.
Attis is a wine made from Albariño, from vineyards of an average of 25 years, located on granitic soils with sandy-clay areas. Part of the vineyard is cultivated organically.
Grapes are manually harvested and placed in 15-kg boxes, with manual grape selection when they enter the winery. Once the grapes are destemmed and pressed, they go through a cold settling process. They ferment with local yeasts in stainless steel deposits at a controlled temperature of 15ºC. Once the alcoholic fermentation has finished, they rest with their fine lees for 6 months. Before being bottled, it is clarified and filtered.

A wine that mirrors the quintessence of the grape and the Galician terroir with sophistication and liveliness. |
