About Antoine Lienhardt Bourgogne Aligoté

Antoine Lienhardt Bourgogne Aligoté is a natural white wine made by Antoine Lienhardt with the Aligoté variety in the AOC Bourgogne Aligoté, in Burgundy (France). 
 
A master of sulphur-free winemaking, Antoine Lienhardt is thought of as one of the most talented new-generation winemakers in Burgundy. Together with his sister Héloïse, he makes natural, organic, biodynamic and vegan-friendly wines in their terroirs in the Côte de Nuit. These are precise, fine and energetic wines that have won over those who appreciate minimal intervention winemaking.
 
Antoine Lienhardt Bourgogne Aligoté comes from vines planted in very stony clay-limestone soil. Over the years, all synthetic products have been gradually removed and they have started working with horses on the land. They also use biodynamic treatments that preserve the health of the vine and the harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness. 
 
In the winery, the Antoine Lienhardt Bourgogne Aligoté grapes are pressed and the resulting must spontaneously ferments with native yeasts. The wine is then refined in used 500-litre French oak barrels for 12 months.
 
Antoine Lienhardt Bourgogne Aligoté is a very limited production cuvée with fewer than 2,000 bottles made. A wine that combines traditional Burgundy winemaking with the emerging natural wine trend.
2019

Antoine Lienhardt Bourgogne Aligoté 2019 is a white wine with aromas of sour apple, floral notes, citrus touches and hints of the orchard. On the palate it is frank, lively and pure. A wine with very dynamic acidity and a persistent finish with salty notes.
