Tasting notes André Clouet Brut Rosé Nº5

Champagne Brut.

André Clouet Brut Rosé Nº5 is a champagne with a pale pink hue, both delicate and refined. On the nose, it is expressive, with subtle flowers, candied red fruits, English sweets, and a saline undertone providing freshness and depth. On the palate, it is lively and effervescent, with pronounced acidity and a juicy progression of strawberry, cherry, and raspberry. The spices from the Pinot Noir add structure and a very fine touch of complexity. An elegant and vibrant sparkling rosé that transforms any occasion into something special without the need for ceremony.

About André Clouet Brut Rosé Nº5

There are summers that linger forever in the memory. Golden afternoons by the sea, the nostalgic grain of a Super-8 film, and that luminous, free, and slightly audacious elegance that defined the seventies. From this effortless sophistication emerges this champagne. Jean-François Clouet envisions this cuvée as a tribute to the freshness of shared moments, to boldness and lightness. It does not seek heavy opulence, but rather the immediate finesse of a happy memory uncorked in the midst of an impromptu conversation. It is natural sophistication encapsulated in bubbles.

From the historic slopes of Bouzy and Ambonnay, in the very heart of the Montagne de Reims (France), the family-run winery André Clouet upholds a viticultural legacy that dates back centuries. This sparkling wine is protected under the prestigious AOC Champagne and hails from vineyards composed of fresh chalk or craie, which acts as a natural sponge regulating water and imparting a vibrant saline minerality to the grapes. Here, under a transitional Atlantic and continental climate, the pinot noir variety finds its sacred territory, maturing with an unparalleled freshness and structure through sustainable viticulture that respects the environment.

After a manual harvest where only perfect clusters are chosen, the magic of its colour arises from a secret: blending a great white wine of pinot noir with a small touch of red wine from the same area, the traditional Rouge de Bouzy, adding that seductive fruity nuance. Then, the wine rests and gains complexity in the dimness of the family's underground cellars for a minimum of 36 months, just enough time for the bubbles to become fine and caress the palate. Finally, it is cleared of impurities by hand and bottled, ready to be uncorked.

Elevate your next toast to the level of a grand occasion with André Clouet Brut Rosé Nº5, a champagne with exceptional gastronomic finesse, capable of shining on its own both as an aperitif and accompanying Japanese cuisine, seafood, or a red fruit dessert. Uncorking this bottle is an entry into a world of accessible luxury, where the power of a legendary vineyard is wrapped in a cloak of fine, delicate, and deeply magnetic bubbles.
