About A Coroa Godello
A Coroa Godello is a white wine of the D.O. Valdeorra by Bodega A Coroa, one of the oldest in Spain. This wine combines a delicate structure with a varietal expression of accentuated personality and originality.
A Coroa Godello is a single varietal of Godello (100 percent). A Coroa is a family-owned business but, even so it has an extremely modern winemaking team. The philosophy behind the work carried out at this winery is to make high-quality wines through a rational and modern process.
2024 |
A Coroa Godello 2024 is a white wine that opens with a straightforward and vibrant nose, where delicate spicy notes intertwine with a hint of wild white herbs. Fresh citrus, ripe tropical fruit, and a gentle aniseed touch reminiscent of fennel, while a vegetal undertone establishes the authentic identity of the variety. This vintage is distinguished by its freshness and excellent balance on the palate, with an enveloping smoothness and a subtle bitterness that imparts great length, leaving a delicate aftertaste of white flowers.

2023 | A Coroa Godello 2023 is a white wine that instantly captivates with its array of fresh and lively aromas. As one brings it closer to the nose, a tapestry of lemon and orange scents unfurls, interwoven with hints of mango and peach, all embellished with a subtle touch of fennel. On the palate, it is smooth and silky, with a well-balanced acidity that accentuates its crispness. The finish is lingering, leaving behind a pleasing bitter aftertaste that is the hallmark of top-tier Godellos. |
|
2020 | A Coroa Godello 2020 is an aromatic white wine exuding scents of white blossoms, herbaceous undertones, and hints of citrus. On the palate, it is robust, vivacious, and refined. A well-structured wine with zesty acidity and a subtly mineral finish. |
|
2017 | A Coroa Godello 2017 is a structured and fresh white wine. This vintage shows all the varietal character with aromas of white stone fruit, floral notes and a citrus touch. In the mouth, it is quite ample, direct and with a long and fresh finish. | |
2013 | A strong, fresh and lively attack mixed with the heat necessary for its balance on the palate. Well-structured and powerful. Citric juice nuances, especially grapefruit with its light bitterness, make this wine’s finish long, subtle and elegant. Bold, fresh colours charged with light and brightness that may be summed up as greenish yellows against a green background, of which the chromatic nuance is of a spring garden where there are green leaf flowers and lively plants with light yellow colours. Warm notes with refreshing nuances and sweets such as elderflower, jasmine and grass that blend well with recently cut fruit such as pear, apple, mango and a very refreshing citric finish. |
