About Urbión Cuvée

Urbion Cuvée is a red wine from DO Rioja, made from Tempranillo and Garnacha.

It is produced by the Vinícola Real winery, located in Albelda de Iregua, a town located south of Logroño, in the centre of La Rioja.

Vinícola Real practices a traditional viticulture, focusing on a specialised production of wine. Wines are produced in small quantities but high quality is achieved. The winery also works with organic methods without using chemical treatments.

This winery produces the red wine 200 Monges, a wine widely recognised by critics. As for the production process, the harvest is done manually and transported to the winery in boxes of 15kg.

After alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged in barrels of French and American oak for 10 months.

It is remarkable the unbeatable value for money of Urbion Cuvée, which until now has received very good ratings. The 2011vintage has 90 points in the Parker Guide.

2011 Warm and refreshing acidity. Mature taste, notes of fruit confit and toasted tannins. Persistent finish.

High coat and dark purple trim with cherry ruby highlights.

Intense aromas of red and black fruit. Sweet spices and mineral notes.
