About PradoRey Origen
Pradorey Origin is a red wine coupage of the Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot varieties, made by Bodegas Pradorey, in Gumiel del Mercado, Burgos, in the D.O. Ribera del Duero.
Pradorey Origin is the new face of the Pradorey Roble Origin wine, relaunched by Bodegas Pradorey with the aim of offering a pioneering and groundbreaking wine from the Ribera del Duero. This wine is made through aging in centuries-old clay jars.
The grapes used to make Pradorey Origin come from 520 hectares divided into 8 different plots lying at an average altitude of 813 metres above sea level. When the grapes reach the winery, they ferment spontaneously and the resulting wine ages for a month in clay jars and two months in European and American oak barrels.
Bodegas Pradorey has revolutionised winemaking in the Ribera del Duero by introducing oak-aged wines. This wine is yet another example of how tradition and modernity can work hand in hand to create an innovative wine, with a fruity and youthful spirit, but without losing the essence of the terroir.
