About Lichtenberger González Muschelkalk Rot
Lichtenberger González Muschelkalk Rot is an organic red wine produced by the Lichtenberger González collaboration in Leithaberg (Burgenland) with the Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt varieties.
The Lichtenberger González winery was founded by Austrian Martin Burgenlander and Spaniard Adriana González. Located between Lake Neusiedl and the Leith mountains in the small town of Breitenbrunn, this collaboration releases a limited production that is made from a passion for the winemaking lands inherited from Martin's father.
Lichtenberger González Muschelkalk Rot comes from old vineyards planted in chalky and slate soils. They use traditional agriculture, holding onto old practices to preserve the maximum expression of the terroir and prevent unbalance. When the grape reaches its optimum ripeness, it is harvested manually.
In the winery, Lichtenberger González Muschelkalk Rot undergoes spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in open vats for four weeks and matures over 12 months in used American and French oak barrels.
Lichtenberger González Muschelkalk Rot is an organic red wine made from small plots, old vines and absolute dedication.

2015 | Lichtenberger González Muschelkalk Rot 2015 is a concentrated red wine with deep and complex aromas of ripe red fruits on the one hand and vanilla and toast on the other. On the palate it is balanced, silky and lingering. |
